How to Join 

Requires persons to be at least 18 yoa, of good moral character and have no Felony convictions. Each member will be sponsored by a member in good standing. Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month, next scheduled meeting is October. Members are encouraged to bring a dish to pass and your beverage of choice. We meet at several places thru the year. Some months it is the Masonic Lodge located at 885 Main St. Antioch, Lakes Region Historical Society,  965 Main Street
Antioch, IL 60002, and some members have a preference to have the monthly meeting at their homes (snacks and beverages before with meetings beginning between 7pm and 7:15 and lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours - as the seasonal Carnival approaches. We expect all members to participate in the sales of tickets / wristbands during the weekend with the time open divided into shifts. We try to take a break from just after July until the Fall months while the budget for the following year is contemplated and / or adjusted in relations to our only fundraiser for the year (hoping to have / make more in the future). 

The 885 Civic Club has lost a significant number of volunteers over the last 10+ years due to people retiring and moving to other States, Health, or just plain aging out, with some well over 70 yoa, some in 80's, medical issues limit physical abilities. We are in need of members so if you would like to make a difference for those in need contact us on this site. 

When i first began we had so many members that we the members had the meetings solely at our homes with this happening once every few years. We also had a summer picnic, Christmas / New Years party at homes with people bringing dishes, desserts, grab bags, 

Yearly dues are $10 a year.
